2023 Candidate Exam Fees Set

September 22, 2022—Over the past several years, CCO has been simplifying its sometimes-overcomplicated exam fee structure to reduce and streamline fees.

Beginning January 1, 2023, CCO’s candidate fee structure will be updated to include both Event Online Testing (EOT) and Online Proctored Testing (OPT) options, as well as reduced fees for computer-based testing (CBT), and an adjustment to practical exam fees.

Moving forward, fees will be set based on the cost to actually provide the exam, which has not always been the case in the past. In addition, CCO will standardize the cost of all written exams taken digitally, that is EOT, OPT, and CBT. All CBT fees will see a reduction from the 2022 price, up to 75 percent less in some cases. The exact cost will depend on the exam being taken.

Practical exam fees will see a modest increase of $10 per exam.

Once submitted, an Application Revision Fee of $30 is charged if any modification is required. This includes, but is not limited to, changing exam modality, correcting a name, or changing the exam applied for.

Candidates who request replacement cards will incur a fee of $30.

Fees associated with PPT exams will not change. However, in January 2024, when paper-pencil exams will be offered in limited, specific instances, both exam fees and administrative fees will see an increase.
